It was a 6 days trip with my parents. Starting from my college at Pondicherry.
Day 1-2
We stayed in Pondicherry for first 2 days. I was in my college hostel. My parent stayed in a Aurobindo Ashram guest house in town. We visited Rock beach, Auroville, temples in Pondicherry and then few temples in Villianur.
Day 3
We had train booked from Chennai to Nagercoil in Nagercoil Exp. That was a disaster, the train was 9 hours delayed.
Anyway after we reached Kanyakumari in auto rickshaw from Nagercoil, we checked into booked hotel on the coast. The view was nice from the balcony. The Rock memorial and Statue were both visible. We visited the memorial by the afternoon. The waves were ferocious.
Day 4
My brother had a trip planned for this day and a car booked for it. We visited Suchindram temple, Padmanavapuram Palace, Poover backwater, Kovalam beach, Trivandrum temple. Then reached Rameshwaram.
Day 5-6
The sea in Rameswaram is wierd. No waves. Like it is a pool. A lot of eagles flying around. We visited the main temple. Didn’t go for the Dhams. Rather visited some of the sightseeings next day. Dhanskodi, Gandhamadan, Pamban bridge etc. The view from road bridge beside Pamban bridge was astounding. The water is perfect turquoise.
